To get one of the qualifications linked to door supervisor licensing, you will need to attend and take four training modules and pass four exams. Training leading to the licence-linked door supervision qualifications must be delivered over a minimum of required days.

Under Private Security Industry Authority Act 2001, all individuals wishing to work in the private security industry must undertake a recognised qualification before applying for a licence.

The qualification comprises 4 mandatory units:

    Unit 1 - Working in the Private Security Industry

    Unit 2 - Working as a Door Supervisor

    Unit 3 - Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry

    Unit 4 - Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry

This qualification can enable the learner to progress onto the QCF in Providing Security Services or further learning in other areas of the private security industry as CCTV Operations.
